Welcome to Wellington Cathedral, in the Anglican Diocese of Wellington. Situated within the parliamentary precinct of New Zealand's capital city, we are a vibrant and diverse community of people drawn together to worship God through fine liturgy, good music, stimulating preaching and a sense of belonging. I invite you to explore our sacred space. The Cathedral is open to visitors daily 10am - 4pm.

Farmers' Market to Open
In an exciting partnership, Hill St Farmers' Market will open on Saturday 6 February 2010 9am-1pm in the Cathedral Car Park. Official Opening 10am. Plan to shop here for the finest in locally produced fresh produce. http://www.hillstfarmersmarket.org.nz
Ash Wednesday 17th February
Anglicans and Roman Catholics join together for a service to mark the beginning of Lent at 7.30pm on Ash Wednesday. Catholic Archbishop John Dew will deliver a homily in the service at which the two Cathedrals' choirs will sing.

Great Music 2010
The music department is delighted to announce details of the Great Music 2010 organ recital series. Click here for further details. The first recital will be given by David Trott on Friday 19 February at 12.45pm.
The final recital of the Great Music 2009 series, Messiaen's La Nativité du Seigneur played by Richard Apperley has been reviewed - you can read it here.
