Services in the Cathedral
There are typically four sung services per week at Wellington Cathedral:
- Choral Evensong, Tuesdays 5pm (Cathedral Choristers).
- Choral Evensong, Thursdays 5.30pm (Cathedral Choir).
- Choral Eucharist, Sunday 10am (Cathedral Choir).
- Choral Evensong, Sunday 5pm (Cathedral Choir).
Occassionally Choral Mattins may be sung on Sundays at 10am. In this event the Evensong at 5pm is typically replaced by a Choral Eucharist.
During term breaks the Cathedral Choristers and the Cathedral Choir take holidays. During this time there are no Tuesday and Thursday Evensongs, and the Sunday services are sung by either Cathedral Voices, St Paul’s Choral or visiting choirs.
