Michael Fulcher

Since joining the Cathedral staff in October 2004 Michael has moved rapidly to expand the already fine tradition of cathedral music. He is responsible for all music activities in the Cathedral, and is the first contact in this regard. With a background in both church music and opera he is increasingly sought after in city and national music circles.

Michael is the Director of the Cathedral Choir, Cathedral Choristers and the St. Paul’s Chorale.

Richard Apperley

Richard Apperley has recently rejoined the team at Wellington Cathedral of Saint Paul as Assistant Organist, and is at the forefront of his generation of organists in New Zealand. Recently arrived back in the country, Richard formerly held the post of Assistant Organist at Lincoln Cathedral.

Composer in Residence

Andrew Baldwin

Andrew is in his third year of Composition Studies at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington, and is currently in his second year of Composer-In-Residence with the Wellington Cathedral of St.Paul. His choral music is sung regularly in the cathedral by the Wellington Cathedral Choir and has been performed by various professional ensembles .
